This week, the American Library Association (ALA) announced the literary award winners for books and video for children and young adults. Criss Cross (pictured above) by Lynn Rae Perkins won the John Newbery Medal for the most outstanding contribution to children's literature, and The Hello, Goodbye Window by Norton Juster and Chris Raschka (illustrator) won the Randolph Caldecott Medal for the most distinguished American picture book for children.See the complete list of award winners on the ALA web site.
