Bone Wars & Poetic Cowboys

The Northwest College Spring Writers Series forges ahead in February with two excellent programs. On Monday, Feb 13 , at 7:30 PM in the DeWitt Student Center, Tom Rea will give a reading. Rea is author of Bone Wars: The Excavation and Celebrity of Andrew Carnegie's Dinosaur, which won the Western Writers of America Spur Award for Best Nonfiction: Contemporary and was a finalist for the Mountains and Plains Booksellers Association Regional Book Award: Nonfiction. At the end of the month, on Saturday, Feb 25 , the Writers Series presents Wintercamp, a gathering of Poets and Pickers presenting original material in the cowboy tradition. Worshops run from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM in the DeWitt Student Center lounge. A public reading will be held in the NPA auditorium from 7:00-9:00 PM. Everyone is welcome.
